Gummy maker

Measuring cup

Measuring jug

Table spoon

Juicers x2

Knife

Spoon

Ingredients:

Sugar

Gelatin

Oranges in bags x2

Lemonade bags x2

Bag of ice x1

Step 1. Get all your equipment out of the cupboard.

Step 2. Get all of the ingredients out of the cupboard.

Step 3. Put the juicers on the table.

Step 4. Cut the oranges in half.

Step 5. Put half of an orange in the juicer and squeeze or push.

Step 6. Then get your gummy maker and pore the juice into the little pot.

Step 7. Get your gelatin  and put 3 tbsp in the pot then stir.

Step 8. Get your sugar and put 1 tbsp in the pot then stir until thick.

Step 9. when done put the ice in the parts under the gummy mould's.

Step 10. pore the mixture into the gummy mould's.

Step 11. wait for 20 - 30 minutes.

The hardest thing about making these gummy's was poring the mixture into the bowl because it was hard to pore the mixture into the mould's and making sure that it doesn't overflow. The easiest thing about making the gummy was juicing the oranges.

Have you made healthy gummy's?

What do they taste like?

Why did I choose this design - pallet garden

WALT: we are learning to follow the design process

Why did I choose this design

I think this design is good because it might challenge me when I build it. I also think the netting is good because it is hard for the birds to get into the garden. I made my garden this shape because it will be easy to put the netting on so my strawberries don’t get eaten by the birds. I also think this design is great because it is original and I don’t think that anyone has done this design before.

Equipment list:

X2 pallet

x1 Hamer

X50 nails

X1 roll of netting

X20 strawberry seeds

X1 crow bar

Reflection

What did I find challenging?

The part that I found challenging was the research and trying to put it into my own design. I also think this was the most challenging part because it was hard to find the picture that I want to put into my design

What was my favourite part?

My favourite part was making the prototype because it was challenging for me. I Also think it was my favourite because it was hard to build with the popsicle sticks and one hot glue gun, and I like things that are challenging for me.

What could I have done better?

I think I could have improved on how big it would be because when I  put the netting on the top it was very hard to staple the net on the top. I think I could have improved on the prototype because I wanted the walls to be a little smaller so you can see the plants.

what does you pallet garden look like?

Kutai fritters flowchart

WALT: We are learning to order steps in the correct order

This is my first attempt at making a flowchart.

The hardest thing about  doing this flowchart was trying to find the right shapes that I wanted to make into the pictures for this flowchart. The easiest thing about this was writing the steps in a text box from the book kutai fritters.

What recipe do you use?

Prototec Maths

WALT: we are learning to solve maths problems and set goals.

I think I need to improve on minus from a thousand and plusing to one thousand. My next goal is to learn how to plus to one thousand and minus by one thousand. I really liked all the multiples because they challenge my mind and sometimes trick me.

Do you do prototec? how hard are they?

Project Energise ( PE ) with Morgana

WALT: we are learning how to keep healthy and active.

My favourite part was doing the warm up. We had to get one cone and at least four people. Three people had to stand around the cone and the  author person had to say left, right, up, down. My least favourite part was doing the stretches after because I felt so!!!! Sore. I felt like laying there for the whole day.

Do you do PE? who's your project energiser?

My Speech

WALT: we are learning to write a persuasive speech.

Hello, Bonjour and Ni Hao  my name is Awhitia and this speech is about why books are better  than movies.

I  interviewed some people to see what their opinions were. More than half of the people said no they don’t read books. Less than half said they like to read books. Most of the people that I asked said they like books better than movies.

I think that books are better than movies because…..

They can help teach you with lots of things like spelling and how to sound out tricky and descriptive words.

I  think movies are ok because they can have a moral to the story.

Take the BFG for example, That movie teaches things like how to be respectful of other people's differences.

Did you now that Up to 200 books can be made from 4 trees

The average cost of a paperback book is $18.99

A normal movie costs up to 18 million dollars and a long movie costs up to 45.5 million dollars.

Books let you imagine what  is happening in the story which is much better than watching the directors idea of the book.

Books can help you with lots of things like if you're studying for a test or you're doing research, you might need a book.

If you had a film it wouldn’t really help you, would it?

Imagine, in 1452 all there was for entertainment were books the first ever books name was The Epic of Gilgamesh. Imagine reading that book and only a few others until 1816 when the first camera was invented.

Do you ever think a movie is too short or doesn't have much detail?

Well that's why I  always like books, because they last longer.

I also think books are really good because they cannot be ruined by bad acting.

Books are good because they are portable.

They don't have batteries and you don't have to worry about leaving your charger behind.

Books are also great for learning because they extend your vocabulary.

Did you know, the fear of running out of something to read is called Abibliophobia.

The fear of movies is Cinemaphobia.

Books are also good because they let you read at your own pace, movies cannot do that.

Books are more realistic and they are great for testing your knowledge.

So my study found more people watched movies than read books.

My personal opinion is that books are more enjoyable than movies, Movies are great when your feel lazy, but in books, The story is for your own imagination.

The hardest thing about this speech was researching all the facts, put them into my own words and try to put them all into a speech. The easiest thing was my intro because all I had to do was say hello my name is...

Have you ever written a speech? What was it about?
