The Lion King Movie - First Draft

Yesterday me and my class went to the movies to see the lion king.  the girls were wearing headbands to look like lions and the boys were wearing hunting and fishing clothes. When the movie started I was so excited to see  all of the characters and  all of the settings.

At the start of the movie Rafiki climbs up Pride Rock and holds Simba up in the air. When Simba is older he goes into a crack in the middle of the Pride lands, that's where all lions go to find there roar. but there was a stamped, his dad tried to save him but he died 

trying because of Scar. 

   

Wonderful Sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.

We know that wonderful sentences need:

• detail (elaboration)
• capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• quality vocab - WOW words

  - WALT recognise different parts of speech

Nouns are naming words. eg. chair, book, July, Awhi

Adjectives describe nouns.

eg . wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi

1. Verbs are doing words.

Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew

Adverbs describe verbs

Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping

happily and chewing nosily.

EXAMPLE

1. The bird is angry

The mean bluey blackish bird is angrily staring at its terrified, furry prey.

1. The sad cat
The big black cat is sad because she was about to go in to a warm bubbly bath.

Tuna Kuwharuwharu (Longfin Eel)

This term we have been learning all about longfin eel.

Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the longfin eel takes.

I have created 3 different digital learning objects (DLO) to share my learning on this topic.

The first is a poster that I created in my topic book about the challenges to the longfin eel. Whaea Deb took a photo of my poster and I inserted the picture.

I created a longfin eel life cycle using goggle drawing.

  


I also made a goggle poster to share five inserting facts about the longfin eel.

My Wonderful Reading Video - The Longfin Eel

When I was doing this video I was feeling a little bit nervous but  a a bit funny talking to the chrome book. Using this wonderful time I now how to put a video on my drive. I now know how to post a video on to my blog and I think it is fun.

Learning with Whaea Monika and Whaea Kerry

I enjoyed using scratch because I thought the coding to make the people move to different places and how to make them make sounds I thought that was pretty cool. Scratch is so cool I want to use it all day because I love coding it's so cool.I think scratch is the best thing ever everyone should try it too!

Weekend in Auckland 04.06.19

Last weekend my little sister Tahli and I went to Auckland.When we got there we went to the mall to meet dad for dinner but first we went all around the crazy mall but a few minutes later I was feeling like I could eat everything. When we got back to the start we got to go to KFC I said yes and it was so good! The next day we went to dads friends so we could feed eels and there were 10! Eels we gust had to feed them my favourite bread when I saw them I felt scared because I thought like they would bite me. We went to see the amazing colourful hourses I feed them grass my favourite one was Riley because he was really nice. Next we went inside to have lunch for lunch we had pizza and ice cream. It was so yum! The next day we did nothing but puzzles my favourite were the tricky ones the tricky ones were tricky because the pecaes looked the same but I got help from dad and then we got it done in no time at the end dad said all right clean this up well I make a coffee said you have to help me too but dad said no I was so mad but I had to clean and I didn't like it!The next day we did the same thing nothing but this time we watched moives my favourite moive was coco dads favourite moive was about the war I thought it was boring.
